Students in Kinder through Grade 1 gradually develop the ability to learn in a more structured setting. The focus is on becoming more proficient in language and reading skills, as well as in beginning math concepts.
Grades 2-5 classes build on foundations established in the primary grades by extending their knowledge once basic skills have been mastered. A focus on higher-order thinking skills, the development of questioning techniques, and reflection on previous learning encourages students to become self-motivated learners.
Classrooms are designed for practical, hands-on learning. The program is developmental and age appropriate. Lessons are developed to encourage student exploration in language, numbers, and the community around them.
